I’m a first-year Economics, Politics and International Relations student at a UK university, and I started Student Invest Guide because most student money content is either too basic to be useful or written by people who left university years ago. I’m dealing with student finance, bank accounts and discount apps right now, the same as you.

What I actually use
I use both UNiDAYS and Student Beans, and I’ve used student discounts at a theme park in Blackpool, a hotpot restaurant in London and Activate. Where an article is based on something I’ve used myself, I say so. Where it isn’t, it’s based on the provider’s published terms and official sources.
How articles are made
- Researched and drafted with AI assistance, then checked against official sources such as gov.uk, the Bank of England, the FCA register and providers’ own terms pages
- Corrected when things change: offers, rates and allowances move, and pages are updated when they do
- No guaranteed returns: investment content includes the risks and what can go wrong
- Affiliate links are disclosed at the top of every article, and no provider has paid for a ranking or a review
